Gradings -Super Saturday

Saturday 7th December 2019 will see 12 Bushido students grade at the Bushido headquarters in Ellesmere Port. Super Saturday will host clubs from around the UK in a marathon session of Ju-jitsu skills. Headed by Professor Paul Geoghegan 9th Dan & Sensei James Pape 10th Dan. All the senior club instructors have been working for months on getting their students ready to boast their Ju-jitsu skills in front of the senior grades at Bushido HQ. First up (Running order) will be John 1st Dan from Wilmslow Bushido under Sensei Andy Smith 3rd Dan, then next up will be Claudia Robinson 1st kyu from Poole Bushido under Sensei Andy Walker 5th Dan. Age is just a number

Massive congratulations to Ian Hopkins from Bushi Ryu Ju-jitsu at the age of 64, who took his Black belt grading today in front of Sensei Jimmy Pape, Sensei Paul Geoghegan and Sensei Dave Gardner at Bushido HQ. Thank you to Sensei's Phil Rhodes, Jay Jones and Rob Pierce for putting him through his paces. Just goes to show that age is just a number. Well done Ian from a very proud Sensei 🥋😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Okami Jiu-jitsu

Bushido Students take on Okami Jiu-jitsu Colne Bushido medal winners Students from Colne Bushido & Bushi Ryu Ju-jitsu attended the 2nd Okami Ju-jitsu course & competition held in Chesterfield Derbyshire. A bigger affair than last year which attracted more talent to test the bushido students which was run by the Okami Jiu-jitsu team headed by Sensei John Rake 8th Dan. Welsh club Bushi Ryu had a few students on the winning rostrum, with William Bowen winning silver, Kai Morris winning Gold & Tileigh Bowen winning a silver medal all in Continuous fighting.  Club instructor Sensei Andy Pryce 6th Dan was proud of his students competing outside of the comfort zone of the academy. Prof Paul Geoghegan 9th Dan

A huge congratulations to Professor Paul Geoghegan 9th who was awarded the rank of professor by senior British Ju-jitsu association masters at the annual general meeting at the British championships. Sensei Geoghegan is the senior academy instructor who is still busy teaching every week at the Bushido headquarters in Ellesmere port was delighted by the hounor and will continue to share & teach his knowledge of Ju-jitsu.  

Little Dragon

A great start to our new class for our Little Dragons at Bushido Headquaters. Sensei Phil Rhodes heads up the class with assistant instructor Millie Collins. The juniors loved there time on the mat learning important skills such as balance, coordination's, confidance as well as a build up a great foundation for awesome ju-jitsu skills. Well done team.   The little Dragons class is run on a Saturday morning from 10.30 till 11.30am
